I have downloaded the Android app (thanks Richard!) but it defaults to my home as a starting point. How can I changes things so that I can load a different starting point? I live in Northern Ireland but tour primarily in England and France so my actual starting points are usually far from home.

You can long-press on the map and it will give you the option to “Start here”. Or when you type a placename into the box at the top, tap the name (not the ‘>’ arrow) and it will ask if you want to start there.
