Looking at the route you linked it's showing a straight line from 19 to 20.
Hmmm, now it does... weird. I had left it as shown above...
While cycling it today I was prompted to do a u-turn prior, so was editing it when I got home.
Ah well! Thanks for checking :-) If this happens again, I suppose I'll close the route and reopen it.
I suspect this issue was due to the server(s) used for this site. It took about 30 seconds to post that above, and then I had to delete multiple versions because I'd clicked post more than once after the site didn't seem to respond.
Maybe server excess server load?
It is a long-standing issue that the ‘go direct’ option will sometimes go from a nearby bend in the route rather than from your actual via point. It’s one of those things on the list to fix, but will require open-heart surgery to a tricky bit of the routing engine so isn’t an easy one to do!
