I received no warning when clicking on this link with Google Chrome or Microsoft Bing, so I would suggest that it is your browser rather than anything cycle.travel can influence.
Could be, Firefox can be a bit of a nanny at times.
The link on the Camino del Cid page looks like caminodelcid.org but actually goes to https://en.caminodelcid.org/. The website's certificate doesn't cover that domain, just caminodelcid.org and www.caminodelcid.org, so Firefox (rightly) warns you that something's up. If you click Firefox's "Advanced..." button it goes into a bit more detail.
I'd expect any modern browser to do the same. Safari does, at least.
The proper fix here is to change the URL on the route to https://caminodelcid.org/.
