Heya! So I'm planning a ride around the Croatian coast/islands and it includes multiple ferries. While I appreciate that cycle.travel includes ferry options, I wonder if there would be a way to eliminate the distance totals in my ride/trip distance. It is nice to know roughly how long the ferries are, but in practice it's no help to my distance measurements when trying to calculate a day or add up my total kms for the trip. It is helpful that I can see the total 'ferry' distance on the left side under the road types list, but I still need to manually subtract that from my total to get my trip distance on a ride. Happy to stand corrected if others like it, but perhaps a toggle to switch off ferry distance additions would be nice?

Good idea – done!
Maybe I'm being a bit obtuse, but the only difference on that journey I noticed is something that says 'Note ferry' in the route summary. Is this what you meant or am I missing a setting somewhere?
FWIW, though, thanks for getting on this so fast!
The distance total of 152mi now doesn’t include the ferry – it’s 27.9+94.6+1+1.7+26.1+0.5=151.8mi, and the 12mi ferry crossing isn’t included in it.
Aha, you're right, but the per-day numbers show ferry distances down below on the altitude/distance graph. I'm also not sure how I feel about the ferry showing distance units on its track-probably I would prefer having no distance markers on the ferry tracks as they're not likely to be accurate and largely irrelevant anyway...
After mapping my today's ride, I was surprised to see I did less km than I thought I did. How discouraging! Then I realized this change was made, which is great, cause I was thinking the same thing, that ferry distance shouldn't be counted.
Thank you!
