Hello
I've just created and edited a track for a proposed club ride (name starts with 51113...). I found your app worked well. The popups slow things down a little, but they offer better control I find than without.
Quetions:
1. How to clear a route imported into the Android app?
2. Are the folders on website and phone synchronised?
3. What is common between website and phones or tablet. Or are they all independent?
Thanks for your help.

Frenzied, I mentioned the specific help files previously.
What do you mean by clear? If 'delete' select the route and long press it. Delete is one of the options. Or delete it on the website. (Trashcan icon)
If you want to stop navigating, select the red 'stop' sign symbol (bottom left)
Yes, but there is a circular 'refresh' icon on the 'Routs' page on the app to be sure, A common error is that users use an Apple/Google ID to access the app but a different ID/Email to access the website. Then there is no synchronisation.
Sorry, I don't understand. The website is accessible on phone & tablet. The app has less planning features than the website but the website doesn't navigate! :-). The app has a broader search facility (shops etc.) A route created on the app is available on the website and vice versa. Delete in one place, delete in all!
Thanks for your reply HobbesOnTour
1. I now see if I open a route it starts navigating. The red stop blocks the view of the circular item. Is that the 'speedo'. Seems to have random numbers there. To see a different route I must close the open one.
2. I now see synchronised route hierarchy. Can I create route on app, and sync it to website then to other instances of app?
I saw somewhere a choice between route as line and route with turn directions. I want line because I want the same route as other riders using this gpx file. How do I choose/convert? Can I import as line then edit? I am not interested in turn instructions. Prefer to edit manually if good tools are available.
I use app in landscape mode. How to avoid white band at bottom taking up too much of screen?
Is seems bizarre I cannot see my actual path as I navigate. Is there any way to see this?
Interesting app/website with many good features.
Thanks for help. Ed
Ed, pictures/screenshots will make your questions clearer.
I think so - but I cannot see what you see.
Yes.
As explained above, routes are associated with an account. Once created (or deleted) in one 'instance' they will be available (or unavailable) on the others. Note, you may need to use the 'refresh' symbol on the app.
I think you're referring to importing a routes ( a gpx file from another source)? However, I'm not at all clear what you're asking - a link to what you read would be helpful. You can read the May & October 25 Supporter updates for the latest news on importing routes on the website & app.
For what its worth, I always find the website to be easier and more intuitive to do anything other than basic route planning. Importing on the website (even on the phone) is straightforward & intuitive.
Use the phone in portrait mode! :-)
Of course there is - but I have no idea what you are seeing. Check your 'Settings' and you can 'auto centre' normally on the top right - but that might be different in landscape.
Thanks. I use tablet on handlebar bag in landscape. Portrait would be difficult. You say it should be possible to see actual path? But not record it. I always record actual path on RWGPS. But I want to see actual path against planned path on C. T map. I carry phone but it is for Comms and camera, and backup nav tool.
Are you saying that you cannot see your planned route? How do you navigate?
There is no 'actual path' if you go off your planned route - you should see an arrow at your actual location and depending on how far off course you are you should see the planned route.
I'm beginning to think that you might not be loading the route correctly, starting the route or that, since you're using a tablet, you are attempting to navigate offline without having set everything up for being offline (downloading maps and routes). Does your tablet have a sim card? If not have you downloaded the map and routes?
If you are already using RWGPS to record your ride, why not use it to navigate?
If you want any more assistance from me you'll need to be clearer and a couple of screenshots will speak thousands of words. On android, dragging three fingers down the screen should take a screenshot. You can post it here by clicking on the 'image' icon on the toolbar of the textbox you write in.
