Hello we are using this handy cycle app for a sponsored cycle ride that my company is doing. One problem I've found is using the 'send to friend' function, when the recipient gets the route section none of them have been able to use the 'save' function. Is it just not possible to do that or are they doing something wrong? I can save routes as the creator, but they can't as the recipient. Guidance welcomed.

Jim, I have no way to test this so I'll suggest a workaround.
First of all, make sure that the route/s are not private.
Email/message the url of the route. The other people can then open the route on the website, save it and it will appear in the app.
They'll probably need to sign up for an account (free). Make sure they use the same email to register on the site and app.
Otherwise, they could try making a small change (eg add a viapoint or extend the end by a few meters) and see if they can save then.
I wonder if this is something that only Supporters can do? If not, it is something that adds value so should be considered as a supporter 'perk'. Hint hint :-)
Thanks Hobbes, how do I know if a route is private or not?
Ok figured out the private thing I think. Now finding that 6 out of 9 people have managed to open route sections using the 6 digit code, this approach hasn't worked for 3 people with a msg saying ' route couldn't be found' or words to that effect. Any idea why that might be? They all have an account set up.
.....lastly do you know if you can send a route section to more than one person (friend) or use there a limit.
Jim,you don't seem to have any routes associated with your account - or else the ones you have are private.
If you go to your 'Profile', click on 'Journeys' you'll see your routes. The 'sunglasses' shows what's private, the regular glasses public.
Next, I have no idea what a 'Route section' is. 'Route' and 'journey' are used interchangeably on CT.
As to why 3 people can't do what six have done? I have no idea. I'd start with what's common and different. Android/IOS. Same route? I'd also consider some people's tech abilities! :-)
I'm not aware of any limits to sharing. But the fact remains that as of this morning you have no 'public' routes to share. I'd start there.
