Weird from last time I used it as it seems to be adding mad circular or out and back loops. eg take a route, find a nearby campsite and add some via points close together on route and drag out a detour to the campsite and ... it overshoots the destination and comes back!
Example is "Test Detour"Via Point 7 is a detour from the main route to a campsite but c.t has overshot, going into Weybourne and back? Via Points 6 and 8 were added to force a detour on the route from and returning rather than taking a completely different route (it's part of the Rebel Way so want out and back detour to campsite).
If I make it an overnight stop then the weird overshoot disappears.
It's been doing thir repeatedly and makes no sense. My only mad thought is some sort of attempt at circular routes but I can't find any such option to disable - so probably rubbish guess.
Or is it thinking that you can't turn round on a road? I appreciate cars might find it hard but on a cycle?

Your example route is either not saved or labelled as 'private'.
I don't know if it's relevant but on the Viapoint menu there is an option to 'Allow u-turn'.
When CT doesn't behave as I expect I check that I am on the most appropriate option - 'Any', 'Paved' etc. I have noticed that the 'Routes' option is quite rigid, if selected.
As standard, c.t assumes you don’t want to turn round at a via point. That’s to make it easier when dragging routes around – if it allowed you to do that, then dragging to follow a new course would be harder, as much of the time it would simply do a U-turn at your drag point and then return to the original route.
But (as Hobbes says) you can use set “Allow U-turn” at a via point (under the “More…” options) to say that actually, yes, you do want to U-turn there. Overnight stops have this enabled automatically.
