Supporter Benefits not working

Become a supporter

I have attempted several times to use the Android App for cycle.travel with supporter benefits. The App still shows I am not a supporter. Patreon has shown me as a member for over 2 days. I reported the problem to Patreon on Tuesday, got a response, they suggested I look up help and thanks for my patience.

I have tried the linking the email from cycle.travel a couple of times. It says if I have a Patreon account it should connect in 20mins. A day later no benefits. 

I know the emails are the same because the Patreon and cycle.travel registration messages go to the same mail account.

I’ve just had a look and Patreon is suggesting no payment has gone through, so it won’t recognise you as a supporter. Maybe worth checking your payment details on Patreon?

It was a Gift membership. Patreon show my supporter status as coffee. The have asked for a video of how I log in to cycle.travel from Patreon. I have tried from Patreon link, from App and from website, many times. I will record later today but have sent images from within Patreon of Coffee supporter.

The only way I can see of connecting to cycle.travel from Patreon is through the link on the Your membership page shown in screenshot in previous comment. Unless anyone knows better. Thanks Kevin

Kevin, I'm sure you have seen this:

My suggestion is to double check the email addresses you have used in Patreon & CycleTravel.

I know the emails are the same because the Patreon and cycle.travel registration messages go to the same mail account.

I mean no offense but separate but linked email addresses can appear in the one 'inbox'. To some, it may seem that different email accounts appear as one. On Patreon the email address can be seen under 'Settings', in CT it's under 'My' and then 'Profile'

It’s a specific issue around gift memberships. Unfortunately Patreon offers these but doesn’t communicate them via its API to cycle.travel.

Thanks to HobbesOnTour for your suggestion. The emails are identical in both places. 

Richard has sorted the issue for me for now it seems to be related to a Gift memberships through Patreon. Thanks to you both for your responses. Kevin
