I have mapped out routes in cycle travel. I transferred the routes to a Wahoo app as a GPX file. The route appeared on the app but without the elevation information. Anyone got an idea how to rectify this or say what I have done wrong!

Grecian, this is fairly simple.

You must have the elevation graph showing on the map when you download the GPX file. So that's the mountain icon at the top left of the map. If the elevation is not showing, that data is not included in the GPX.

Many thanks Christopher that seems to have worked now. Much appreciated.

I have the same kind of problem :
* on the web site, I can transfer the gpx file to a Wahoo app including the elevation information (indeed if the elevation graph is showing on the map) ;
* but when I do the same from the cycle.travel app, the elevation info is always missing on the gpx file that is exported... and I have no clue !
Thanks for any info !

Laurent, the obvious solution is to open the relevant file on the website on your phone, show the elevation, then download that.

In fact, the process for downloading makes it pretty easy: (On Android, at least)

Open the desired route

Click 'Save'

Click 'Open on Web' (instead of 'Export GPX track)

Then work away on the website.

@HobbesOnTour
Thanks, that's working via the web site, and it's quite easy, indeed.
But the fact is that I would find it even easier if it worked directly from the app. ;)

It'll be in the next version of the app!
