Liege really has an industrial past and present. The first 10 kilometers or so pass through the port.
The Meuse has become a real river now.
And we hit the 1000 km mark.
Passing through slightly crowded Maastricht.
Navigating the canals can be disorienting.
Another biker friendly campground.
*We decided against cycling along this part of the Meuse because it seemed too industrial on the map. We might have been wrong. It looked not too bad from the train.
Anyway, Liege is worth a visit.
And it has a nice youth hostel.
We are in Belgium now. Still good biking.
Quite a few tourists in Dinant,
home of Mr. Sax.
And we're not the only bikers here.
Did I mention that we are now on a 130 km stretch of a dedicated bike path along the Meuse? It is in perfect condition and has some great views along the way.
Good luck for your wishes.
