Hello again, they load ok in desktop mode.. if that helps

Hm, that’s odd. I can only think that your phone maybe cached an interim version of the site while the new changes were going live. It might be worth clearing your cache and seeing if that fixes it.

No but would disallowing backward redirections  do it (cycle travel is logged as being prevented today?)

Can confirm for Moto G7 plus, lineageos 21 with Firefox 123and Samsung Tablet SM-T500, Stock-Android 13 and Firefox 123.

Desktop mode works fine in both, only mobile view allows no interaction

Ah, brilliant, I see it now. Thank you both – should be fixed now.

👌

Thanks, out of curiosity what was the cause?

Just a JavaScript issue.

I cannot load my saved routes in the Android app either on my phone or tablet (both Samsung fully up to date). Routes open fine in Firefox browser. "Sorry there was an error fetching the journey." Rotes are Hadrian's cycleway, Way of the Roses,  Tour de Yorkshire from C.T collection.

Alistair, I've just checked my Android app and all is working as normal. I suggest you check that the routes are not labelled as "private" (sunglasses symbol). You can reclassify them as public (normal glasses symbol) under "My Journeys" on the website. It used to be the case that private routes didn't show in the app but that appears to have changed now. I'm assuming you're online?

Alternatively, try saving the routes directly to the phone.  Go to your routes in the app. Select the appropriate route and press & hold to generate the option Download to phone/Delete route. BY selecting download you should now have the route accessible to the app - even offline.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried reclassifying - same result. Except most recent route viewed via browser has "open route xxx" in bottom of map and will open sometimes. Tried long press and "download to phone" from list of routes and get "sorry there was an error fetching that journey" again.

OK  - so this is strange! One route I created myself works fine. My other 3 routes were saved from the C.T collection for me to customise: Tour de Yorkshire, Way of the  Roses and Hadrian's Cycleway. T de Y opens fine but the other 2 don't. Baffling!

Ok – I think I’ve figured this one out! There’s a little bug in the Android app that shows up with the very oldest routes… which includes c.t’s own routes in those cases.

I’ve found a fix and it’ll be in the next version of the app.

However, until then, you can fix it right now with your own routes. Open the routes on the website and change them just a little – maybe just drag one of the via points 10m up the road or something. Then save. The resaved route should work fine in the app.

Thanks for spotting the issue!

Thanks Richard. That worked :-) I moved the start of Hadrian's Cycleway to Carlisle Station and that did the trick. I like the look and feel of the app - especially the OS maps. I have an OS premium subscription anyway but it's no good for cycling navigation as the screen turns off. Yet to use C.T for live navigation - waiting for suitable weather as it's mostly very windy up here in York. Love the city guide to York and will help update it if/when I can. Keep up the  great work and thanks again.
