This has happened a couple of times recently. When following an already loaded route, it disappears and a message that the cycle.travel server cannot be contacted. This only seems to happen when I do not have a phone signal. Is it possible to download the route to my telephone so that it can be easily accessed? Any thoughts gratefully received.

Derek, if you're asking if the CT app can work off line then the answers is yes - so long as you have previously downloaded both the route (s) you wish to follow as well as the map map tiles). Further info, specific to the iPhone will be found under the 'help' section in the app. On my Android it's available under 'App Settings'.
In the route list, swipe a route to the right to download it for offline use.
