Hi Richard,
not a new issue - i observed it at least a year ago: if you deviate from the current route, the app sounds an alarm.
The annoying thing, as i have started to listen to audiobooks on longer rides: afterwards the volume of the phone is way down and stays there until the app is killed and restarted. Then its back to its normal level until the next alarm. Any chance to leave to volume setting unchanged?
Best regards,
Hermann

Out of interest, does this happen with the spoken instructions too, or just the alarm sound? Could you check you’re using the latest version of the app? I did look at this recently but don’t recall whether it made it into the latest release or whether it’s one for the next version!
Hi Richard,
setting announcements to 'Spoken' fixes it. It stays fixed even if i revert to 'None'.
Restarting the app with 'None' and the issue is back until i set it back to 'Spoken'. Then audio returns to its normal setting as soon as the first announcement is made.
I am using the version currently offered to me by the AppStore - from 29-03-2025.
I will keep spoken announcements on, so i am fine now.
Many Thanks,
Hermann
Ah - that’s good to know. Thanks - I’ll take a look. (But not immediately as I’m on tour right now!)
