I just saw this on another forum (posted last year) so I was wondering if this app is out. Apologies if I am way behind on this.
"The main point to the app is that you can just put your phone on your handlebars, fire up the app and go. It'll give you a map to follow and turn-by-turn directions along the way."
I have been trying to get RWGPS to do something like this because I just cannot read the turn by turn instructions on my tiny Wahoo screen, so if this site has this app, then I'm sorted.

You can get the app on Android or Apple:
Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.geowiki.cycle_travel_android
Apple: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/cycle-travel/id1619632879
What I like to do is create routes on my PC during the week, then ride them using the App at the weekends. It works a treat!
I may actually buy a cheap tablet for this purpose to get a bigger screen, that is if I can find one that can attach to the aerobars. I know there are adapters for regular phones, but tablets...?
Am I alone in thinking that a good pair of glasses might be the solution?
As someone who has experimented with a tablet I'd advise against it. All the issues of using a phone as a GPS device but ... Bigger
True, I do have such - several pairs actually ;-) and normally when riding uncommon routes I use 6" x 9" cue sheets attached to be aero bars. (I tried to download a copy but did not seem to work), so I'm just looking at options.
