Dear All, i am currently on my eaerhround biketrip in Armenia and would really love to cross Iran, but also heard that its a bit risky nowadays. Does anybody have recent experiences as a backpacker (2024 july / august) in Iran? Please share all your impressions! Thank you in advance!!

Oliver, this is the CycleTravel support forum and since CT does not cover Iran I'd imagine there is little assistance for you here.
I'd suggest trawling German & Dutch cycling fora or searching out Facebook groups. However, given the very recent dates you seek I'd expect anyone in a position to help would still be on the road. I presume you already have the visa organised as that process can be complicated on the road.
