I am missing the ability to switch map orientation (i.e. north or direction of heading). There used to be a compass symbol on the map and tapping that switched orientation, but it seems to be gone - at least on my system. (Iphone SE 2016)
Can anyone give me some pointers how to switch map orientation?

Have a look at the map menu (top right) – choosing ‘Centred’ will default to north-up, choosing ‘Look ahead’ will default to direction of heading.
If you manually rotate the map by twisting with two fingers, the compass will appear; tapping it will return to the default.

That sounds intuitive and logical. No idea why I did not see / find that.
