Dear Richard; I just did the App update - and now it crashes consistently and instantly :-(
The App starts and before the map is rendered completely it closes / crashes.
I rebooted my phone (Lineage OS 19.1 on old Samsung Phone), reinstalled the App.
Result is the same. Very sad. Do you have any ideas? Can I provide any further information?
Hi Richard; 1st thanks again for this great Webtool & App!
It is perfect for me due to it's ease of use and simplicity - and yet it finds the routes I prefer - excellent quiet journeys.
I hope you keep the simplicity - there are tons of other Apps where you can - if you feel like it - go crazy on tweaking parameters etc. (i.e. Osmand aso). I want to say that whenever there are new feature requests in this forum.
However.... I have also a request (hence the title): Would it be possible to have a 'reverse route' button in the App? I know that I can follow a route in the other direction as of now, but then my screen stays on all the time (consuming lots of battery) and I think I also don't get directions.
Just a thought - and I understand if you ignore it in favour of simplicity ;-)
Hi Richard; jsut fyi, in case it is something systematic:
I recently updated something in openstreetmap. That is meanwhile also reflected in your maps - but not anymore if you zoom in.
(So, it is hard to use that path, as you can not see it...)
These are the coordinates of the marker - I am talking about the red cycle path leading to that marker:
Visible when zoomed out:
Not visible when zoomed in:
(On openstreetmap, it is visible on all zomm steps)
Hi Richard; I just added (for the 1st time) on OpenStreetMap a cycle path. While I did this, I noticed that another part of a cycle path, which is already present since a couple of month in OpenStreetMap is not available in cycle.travel.
See here on OSM: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=16/45.7992/10.0182&layers=Y
(the blue line in the center crossing a river)
and here on cycle travel: doh - picture upload on this website does currently not work(?)
Where does this difference come from? Just a lag of DB updates?
I have a strange behavior at one specific point when following a route:
See picture. This is a route in Italy coming from a big (meandering downhill) main road entering a tiny road. Here, the App does not alert you to turn. This is esp sad, as when you miss the turn, you have to cycle uphill again….
Oddly, if i follow a route in the other directon I do get a turn alert at the same location (i.e. coming from the tiny road entering the main road)
