Planning LEJoG, with a Scottish portion with some pals.

They use RideWithGPS, and it came up with this route off the A9 new Newmill Farm just north of Perth

Cycle.travel resolutely refuses to allow a left turn there!
google maps does show some serious roadworks on street view:

Anyone got ideas on how to find what the real truth is this?!

Thanks!

There are roadworks there until 2025 apparently! This looks like the best site for monitoring progress: https://www.transport.gov.scot/projects/a9-dualling-perth-to-inverness/

cycle.travel takes its base map data from OpenStreetMap which is usually pretty good at reflecting major road changes. OSM is currently showing that the junction is closed here.

If you want to plan a route there anyway, you can use the ‘Go direct’ feature – put a via point at the start and end of the affected section, then click the start point, and select ‘Go direct’ in the popup bubble. cycle.travel will draw a straight line between the two.
