Hi... stumbled across this resource by accident and it is going to make life a lot easier so, straightaway.... thanks for all the effort that must be going into developing and maintaining it.  I have a couple of queries.

My experience with touring is that quite often things don't pan out as planned....  turning up at a non-existent campsite, or one that only takes caravans, or 70 miles in the mountains on a loaded tourer really was a bit over ambitious, or (quite often) ending up in a place that is not on the original planned route.  The "find accommodation" feature is really useful at the planning stage - I could see real benefit if there was an option to "show accommodation near me" so that it could be used on the go.  I can see a way of "forcing" this by drawing a new short route near where I am but it would be great, particularly in the wet / dark, to have a "button".... even better if there could be the option to route to a place to stay!

Secondly, I've got loads of routes planned in other online resources - is it possible to import a .gpx file into cycle.travel?

Many thanks

Not sure if this helps, but if you left click on part of the route you where want to find accommodation, there is an option to find accommodation, and it gives what is available locally, rather than the entire route

Hi Mick... yes I found that and it is useful - the bonus bit would be to be able to do  the same but in a place that is off the route (as often happens when things don't go to plan) so, for instance.... accommodation within 20 mile radius of current position.  Wouldn't necessarily need to access a gps signal (although that would be cool), I could mark where I am on the map.
