Hi Richard,

How do you route over permissive tracks? Looking at the Forestly Comission site the correct set of tags to use for their track is foot=yes, cycle=permissive, horse=permissive and motorised=no.  I'm sure that will result in the track being usable but will it be included as ridable or in the walking total?  Permissive is not a droplist option for cycles so I'm putting it in manually (Potlatch 2).

Cheers

=permissive is treated exactly the same way as =yes – you can cycle there, so it’s included in the routing network. For Forestry Commission tracks, don’t forget to add a surface tag though!

Thanks Richard.  As I'm not local to the area of my current interest I'm just correcting access on routes created by others or filling in gaps where sufficient public domain exists.  I'll make notes when I ride.
