Could someone please remind me how to set my page up without the default 'click here for additional'. Every time I open a map on the screen I inadvertently click some point on my screen and it creates an unwanted addition to my route. Thanks

Bob, if you are referring to the website, it's set in your account - see My/Profile/ Preferences, where "Click to add via points" can be set On or Off.

Bob, I think what you want is to 'un-tick' the box that says "Click map to add more points".
You will see this on the website on the left hand side when you have a route on screen:
