I'm planning a 12-day tour in Spain.

I've created individual routes for each day and put them in a folder.

When I view the folder, to get an overview of the whole tour, it shows the route, with each day a different colour.  All lovely so far.

However, it also shows a few days with a second, different route in purple (eg Palencia to Tordesillas in my example).

Any idea how I can remove these?  I've no idea why they're displayed.

The folder is: https://cycle.travel/map/group/19768

I'm using Firefox and the problem shows on both a Windows 11 laptop and an Android 15 phone.

Thanks!

Huw, the problem appears to be that you have an older (and different) route included in that folder: 'Spain 26'. an early draft, perhaps?

The fix is simple. Either delete the extra, older route or save it in a different folder.

Ah yes, silly user error!

Thanks 😊

Hello Mark,

How do you go about selecting all the routes in a folder and displaying them on the map at once, each in a different colour, as you mentioned in your first post?

Babaz, I don't know who Mark is, but I'll try to answer your question. We don't 'select' routes in a folder - we can see all* the routes in one folder.

You can see your folders here ('My Journeys') and the 'map' symbol is left of the 'download' symbol.

Simply click on the 'map' icon for the folder to see a handy display:

Each 'route' has a different colour, each can be accessed by clicking on the map or icon the left window - which also displays route distance, name, creation date .

It's a very useful feature and if we record our routes, we can import them into CT and create a map of where we have actually travelled.

* Non supporters are limited in the number of routes in a folder. 20? 25? Something like that.

Thank you Hobbes,

Thank you for that very clear explanation – I hadn’t clicked on that icon, but it does work very well indeed! You’re right, I’m not a supporter, but the stated limit seems more than generous to me. It’s a great feature that I didn’t know about – thanks again!

And as for Mark, I’m not sure if I got confused between the first couple of forum posts and another one, or if autocomplete added it after my ‘hello’ – in any case, whoever it is, I hope they’re doing well.
