I love cycle.travel. Recently used it to plan and follow a trip across the southern UK. The route suggestions are really excellent.
I couldn't figure out how to Add at End... on the mobile website or the iPhone app. (It's easy to do on the laptop website). This is a great feature if you want to plan a route and pass through a specific landmark or something. I find it gives a better route than trying to drag a point on an existing route to where you want to go. This is how I built up our plan for "Rhydymain - Caldicot Stn avoiding Gospel Pass" (https://cycle.travel/map/journey/914075) - which I didn't ride in the end.
I know you can double tap on the map, but hard to be accurate on a small screen. Thanks

Mark, this isn't specifically an answer to your question but a workaround for the mobile site.
If you want to add an address (as opposed to manually picking a point on a map), you'll probably need to open a blank map in a second window, use the 'To' box to locate the address, then add a marker.
Having saved your original route, refresh the window and you should see the marker
This marker is now at the 'new' end point, then on that marker select 'Go via here'.
Your route will now extend to the marker, but double back to the original end point. To fix this:
Click on the original end point (red icon) and select 'remove'. Your route will now end at the marker.
A similar process should work on the app if you're really that averse to picking a point in a map.
Note: Any time we change a route, CT may recalculate based on the new criteria so it's no harm to have added a few viapoints in advance to maintain the integrity of the original route. And save it before making changes
You may not need to go through the whole process of opening a new window depending on what you are looking for. Different map styles will highlight different things so it may be possible to accurately place a marker in the correct place.
If you use the search function (top right) I believe a link was given to be able to use the 'full' website on a phone screen. That'll also solve your issue.
On the app, I would probably long-press on the map and then select ‘Extend to here’ – it does the same as double-tapping, but the long-press allows you to be a bit more precise (you can see where you’ve tapped using the point of the popup that appears).
I’m hoping that, with the slight redesign I’m working on, I’ll be able to bring the website map behaviour on mobile closer to what it is on desktop, for the benefit of things like this. But the challenge is always getting the same functionality on a much smaller screen without cluttering it!
