Deleting questions

I find it the height of ignorance to post a question, receive a reply, then delete the original question. 

This is a searchable forum, where users try to help each other, all the time building up a resource of useful information and tips. Deleting your question and thus the thread, denies someone else the opportunity to benefit from the answer.
