Hi,

on creating a 'end-to-end route' to illustrate a multi-day tour, the 'via point' markers obscure important information, like location of overnight stops and Km distance markers.

It would be lovely to be able to turn these off via a tick-box.

2 other useful features: 1) change colour of route to a single uniform colour. 2) Include a legend, to show Moon = overnight stop, yellow circle = cumulative distance in Miles or Km.

I agree this would be helpful.

Recently discussed in this thread. But the workaround cited (logging out) doesn’t actually work for me. The via points are still shown, on iOS Safari (18.7.1)

@ Eoin, I may have the wrong end of the stick and I'm not quite sure why you need what you need in that the info ( think) you seek is available at different zoom levels.

In any case, splitting the route into individual days may go some way to solving your problems.

Taking the Pilgrimage route you can save it as individual days:

Once saved, you can use the 'Display folder as map' feature:

You can now see the whole journey, each day clearly defined. Clicking on a day will bring you to that route.

If you also save the whole route, display it, and toggle the elevation data on you'll get this:

You can now see each day's individual distance and elevation info. Click on any point on the elevation profile and you'll zoom in on the map and vice versa. It's not cumulative but it's still pretty useful.

@Brad. My comment in the previous thread was in reference to Markers only, not viapoints. The 'quick'n'dirty' way to see a route on the map with no viapoints is to save it as a gpx file then display that gpx file as a trace. We can't edit it - it's a visual tool only.
