(On Android app, automatic update to latest versions) I find that at times, I pass through a hexagon that is not recorded as a tile. I think this may correlate with times when the phone battery has been getting low, although the route tracking still seemed to be working. I know from other feedback that RF is looking at picking up tiles via GPX import, but would it perhaps be possible (simpler?) to add an option to add a hexagon manually?
(I'm guessing the current option to delete an unwanted tile relies on the existence of the highlighted tile as a record, so it isn't possible extend that to include "add a tile" to that menu. But maybe it could become an option in the menu that is brought up by a via point?)
(I am finding the travel tiles feature rather addictive...)

Watching new tiles appear as one progresses along a route is encouraging. The feature idea has great potential. However, I cannot find how to delete spurious Travel Tiles (e.g. from using the app whilst on train). Pressing and holding doesn't do anything for me on website or Android. I too would like to add tiles manually not only to fill gaps but also to include some rides of the past.
According to this post, a 'long press' will offer up the option to delete.
The 'Search' icon (top right) is useful!
Bit of an update on this! The next version of the app will have a ‘reverse sync’ feature, which can download your travel tiles onto the app from the website.
The main reason for this is if (say) you’ve changed phones and need to get your tiles back, but it does open the possibility of adding GPX upload and manual tile editing to the website.
The long-press should work on both iOS and Android but I’ll double-check.
Sounds v promising, Richard, and certainly nice to enable the tiles to be protected against phone changes.
In passing: If that feature is going to be in the standard offer, that is generous, as it is the sort of thing you could very reasonably reserve for supporters. I think many users will appreciate we do need to give a little tangible help to make all your efforts viable.
