Hi, I’ve probably missed this info along the way , but is Cycle Travel / App a free service ? It’s not that I wouldn’t pay, but I would like to know.

You can become a supporter via Patreon or through Google & Apple. There are different levels of support but custom is also possible.
CT is free to use as a website and app. Supporters have a few perks - the option to prepare PDFs, extra map styles and more routes to a folder among them. Supporters also get regular updates on developments that are not always obvious. Then, there's the old fashioned satisfaction of helping a guy (and it's just one guy!) out.
