Ken, if you tap on 'My' (or the bike symbol) top right of this screen, then select 'Profile', scroll down you can set a few preferences including the metric/imperial choice.
Well, that's odd: I just did all that and entered a new route and there it was in Imperial!!! And I didn't have to do a thing. Occasionally the Gods' like me, but only very occasionally. ;-)
