Cyrano, due to publishing rights I believe that some maps are not downloadable. Which they are I'm not quite sure but as far as I know OS maps are not downloadable.
In any case, it's an easy test. Download a map for an area that you haven't used, put phone in airplane mode and see what options are available.
That’s indeed the case – the only maps that are downloadable for offline use are cycle.travel’s own mapping (and the alternate Wayfarer style). OS’s terms and conditions don’t allow the mapping to be stored on the device unfortunately.
Right, I was guessing this was the case from the way the OS maps struggled to keep pace when scrolling. No worries, thanks for the reply.
