Hi All,

I am looking for some help. I recently downloaded the Cycle.travel App onto my IPhone 14 Pro Max, and I am enjoying the App. However I have a problem when I try to plan a route or change a destination during a ride, the App does not use my current location as a starting point, I have to enter a "From" location.  I have allowed the App to access location in my phone settings. Is there something I am doing wrong?

I Hope I have made myself clear ......Thanks in anticipation :)

Steve, reading your query I am a little confused.

Is the problem only when you are planning or changing a route during a ride (following a route)?

I use Android and the app works differently from the website. On an empty map I click on a spot and the app offers me the choice of starting there or navigating to there. Within a route, I can click on any (off route) point & the app offers the option of 'extending' the route to there.

If your issue is the former (app works normally except when following a route) then I'd suggest ending the route and starting off with an empty screen. (If you wish to still see the original route for reference, perhaps consider using the website on your phone, editing the original route and opening that edited route in the app.

If your phone has 'lost' the ability to find your location then you'll need to check your settings again. I'm sure I'm not the only one to disable location settings. :-) I can't speak for IOS but it's easily done in Android.
