Refusing to route through a footway with bicycle=yes

I've been trying to improve the area around me on OSM for cycling routers. There's a particular asphalt path that is an important link between two neighborhoods. It is tagged highway=footway, surface=asphalt, and about three weeks ago I added the bicycle=yes tag.

I tried a local cycle.travel route today and noticed that it would refuse to route through this path. So either it just hasn't refreshed the data yet, or it is not interpreting the tags as I would have expected.

Here is the way's entry on OSM. https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/527631979

Any advise would be appreciated!

My understanding is that it can take a month (or even up to two, depending on timing) for changes in the underlying OSM data to appear in CT.

Yep, that’s right. Routing for Europe should be updating in the next couple of days and North America in w/c 5th June.
