They’re lovely detailed maps that work particularly well in rural areas, much like the UK’s Ordnance Survey. Here’s an example:
So if doing a route through France this would be a map I could choose?
Yes. The routing’s still the same of course, but you might find the IGN maps useful while navigating and when looking out for things along the way.
