Map and routing update

Firstly - woohoo! :-)  Thanks for the map update Richard.

Can you estimate the lag for the routing to catch up with the map?

Elevation graph vs map spot calibration

Hi Richard,

Create a route of about 200km then open the elevation graph, if you move your mouse along the graph the spot on the map follows it perfectly.  If you move your mouse along the route on the map the line on the elevation graph reaches the end about too early.  It varies a bit but usually about 15-20km too early.

Permissive routes

Hi Richard,

How do you route over permissive tracks? Looking at the Forestly Comission site the correct set of tags to use for their track is foot=yes, cycle=permissive, horse=permissive and motorised=no.  I'm sure that will result in the track being usable but will it be included as ridable or in the walking total?  Permissive is not a droplist option for cycles so I'm putting it in manually (Potlatch 2).

Cheers

Bad update?

Something has gone wrong in the last update, take a look here http://cycle.travel/map/journey/24044

South of marker 1 the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is marked as a road, to the North the road zips off in a straight line and then follows/becomes the Nant Lago for a while.  There doesn't seem to be a single feature in OSM that would explain it, the boundary of the Brecon Beacons National Park is closest.  At least, there isn't a single feature today but could have been when the update ran.
