This route shows the extra distance a cycle-user would need to make without a cycle-bridge as part of the proposed Oxpens Masterplan.  It uses the existing Gasworks Bridge, which is in excellent condition but needs its approaches improved on the North side.
Cyclox is posting this because we are concerned that the proposal to build an extra bridge, just 350m upstream of the Gasworks Bridge, is a waste of money.  There are better locations for an extra river-crossing bridge if one is to be built near here,
