1. From Malaga Tourist office head east through the park, with a short sharp climb after Dunkin' Coffee, and turn right at Calle Reding, bear left and left again to access Paseo Maritimo P. R. Picasso. (1m). Follow CP parallel to main road, passing a spit beside an ice cream kiosk (2m.) to Banos del Carmen.
2. A short section of main road on C. Bolivia - and just before a pedestrian crossing (beside a cypress tree) look for a 90 degree right turn passing "Pez Tomillo" cafe. Access Paseo Maritimo El Pedregal (3 m.) and follow this, hugging close to the shore (some track sections). It becomes Calle Quitapenas at Playas del Palo. (4 m.) This CP becomes Banda del Mar, then C. Playa del Chanquete at a small marina (5m.)
3. Brief road section, past yacht club building - bear right onto the beachside rough paved track just before the Repsol garage and a footbridge over the main road. Follow the CP through Parque Maritimo Terrestre Penon del Cuevo, and two short climbs to reach La Arana. (6 miles.) There is a Cave Interpretation Centre.
4. Go straight on, above and parallel to the main road. At the mini-roundabout with a tree, go straight on. Ascend briefly at an underpass and join the roadside CP beside a large rock. Follow the CP grit track eastwards and hugging the shoreline whenever possible.
5. Pass a caravan park, follow the track past the Prehistoric museum at some small cliffs (6.5 m). The track becomes roughly paved after the caravan park - on Paseo Maritimo de la Cala, with 3 beach cafes just after 7 miles; becoming P. Maritimo Nuestra Senora del Carmen.
6. This bears right gently round a headland, then back left through a series of 4 tunnels. Follow the CP through a defile to access the beach at Playa Rincon de Victoria. (8 miles.) There is a chiringuito - Aquite Espero - on the beach. A bike shop is shown here on the left behind the main road (8.3 miles). There are more beachside restaurants a little further on (@ 8.5 miles) - Con Otro Aire and a bar and pizzeria just after a statue. There are several more bars and cafes further along the Paseo. (9 miles).
