Hi Ann, another user here. (I gave an answer in the duplicate of your question that has now been deleted, so briefer version here ...)

Yes, it is possible.

Make sure your journey is set as "public" (Ask here if you need to know how to do this.)

In the app, open your journey. Tap the Save button (bottom left); you will see an option "Send to friends", tapping on that shows the reference number that you need to give to them.

When they open the app on their phone, if they tap on the person symbol (top right), they can enter the reference number, and your journey will open. If they want to store it for future use they should save it in their account; AFAIA, note that new copy will not synchronise with any subsequent changes to your parent version, and vice versa.

You can also share using the website - with the journey open in the website, simply copy the URL and give that to your friends to paste into their browser, where the journey will open and can be saved in their account.

Thank you. Yes I’ve shared from website before but app allows them to use offline. Sorry I didn’t see any reply when I deleted the duplicate!! 

I’m not seeing a person symbol top right. A finger for sketching route. But looks as if maybe I can send via airdrop?

Sorry, I should have said where to find the person symbol. In the app, tap the Routes button (at bottom). The person symbol - a head and shoulders silhouette - is on the top right of the Routes screen.
