So here's a road route avoiding the mud to explore Crystal Palace Park and environs from Croydon Arena.

Short dismounts required at the Cambridge Road railway underpass and at Chipstead Close after the park. A couple of very short stretches of main road in Penge and South Norwood, otherwise quiet back streets.
