I've been using cycle.travel website and then transferring routes onto maps.me and it's been great. I've now discovered the cycle.travel app and really like it! It's way better than all the other apps. So I paid up and downloaded some maps and gave it a test run . It drained my battery in a couple of hours! Am l missing something?

Is this on Android or iPhone? Could you say what model your phone is?

Thanks! There appears to be an issue with, I think, some older Androids. I am looking into it but haven’t identified what it is yet.
But as a first suggestion, I’d suggest going to ‘App settings’ and turning ‘Automatic route feedback’ off – I’m not convinced that’s the cause but it would be the first thing to try.
Thank you Richard for taking the trouble to reply. I have tried turning off the 'feedback' but that didn't work. I guess I need a new phone! Meanwhile I shall revert to using cycle.travel website for planning. I still think it's a great site. All the very best, Peter
