Been using the Andoid app in France, and it is mostly v fine. The "tone of voice" is excellent. But 2 comments as feedback, in case helpful:
- the pronunciation of French is diabolical, as I'm sure you are very aware. Is this an unavoidable limitation of an free online resource? If some ££/€ could improve things, I would be happy to chip in to a bounty.
- the turn instructions are voiced rather fast, and the second part is run together; "at the crossroads, turnrightontoRued'Eglise". It would easier to catch if there were were more natural "phrasing" of the instruction. ( I have not used it in the UK enough to know if it's similar there, or in other countries.)

Reading out street names in the correct language is definitely on the radar – in fact the iPhone app does it already. It’s a bit more complex on Android but it will be along before too long – I just haven’t had the time to port that bit across yet!
