Hello everybody.

I have downloaded a GpX file from cycle travel and want to upload it to Strava but every time I try,  it says - “time information is missing from the file” - is there a way to work around this error?

I have checked the help section of Strava and it says files with that error message are not compatible with the Strava application. I’m on the free tier of Strava.

Thanks in advance.

cycle.travel’s GPX downloads are just a route you can follow. They don’t have time information because they’re not a record of a ride – so there’s no reason for the file to say “you passed this point at 13.15” because, well, you didn’t!

I think you might be able to add fake time information using gpx.studio though I haven’t tried it.

Thank you.

I have found a way to integrate it into Komoot though after unlocking the “ The World” region.

Just wanted a stress free ride away from busy roads & your website gives me exactly that. Have to deal with this irritating rain all along now.

Thank you once again.
