Over the last few rides (between 5 - 10 km) the app sent a message: "Arrived", even though my ride was nowhere near finished. The route is retained but no voice directions, estimate of speed, elapsed time, estimated ETA etc is shown. After seeing this message I restarted the route but again saw the "Arrived" message, so not able to reset. Sometimes after cycling a further 10 km or so and again retstarting the route, it does reset and voice directions etc are again functioning.
On the Borc-Rijssenseveld & Borkeldsevenn RT route, I received the "Arrived" message around the 10 km point but could not reset (I again received the "Arrived" message when doing so). On the Borc-Marien-m.gravel RT (Rev.1) GVL route, I saw the the "Arrived" message around 5 km from the start but managed to successfully reset around the 25 km point.
I am using the Cycle. Treavel app on an iPhone 16 Pro.

Thanks for a really helpful report – I can reproduce the issue. Do you know how you originally plotted these routes - was it on the iPhone app, or on the website? Did you use the circular route/round-trip function?
Hi Richard.
Many Thanks for your prompt follow-up. I used the website to plot the route - I adapted (re-routed) a previous route that I had created. I did not use the round-trip function as not aware that this could be done (I cannot find the "button" to do this) and maybe that is where the problem lies. Incidentally, I cycled another route yesterday (again adapting a previously created route) but intentionally made the start and finish not to overlap and had no problems at all. Route was: Borc-Varss-Zelh-Hglo RT CCS5
Yesterday, on another ride the same fault happened again. The route is : Borc-Zwil-Lnt-Hkb-Eib RT CCS5. It occurred at via point 11 (about 36.5 km into route) and on closer inspection, via point 11 is not actually on the route but some 50 m off it. Could this be the cause?
Thanks! Using that example I’ve managed to track down an issue which was causing this to happen.
I’m not entirely sure this is the only cause but certainly it fixes it in this case. The fix will be in the next version of the iPhone and Android apps which I’m just finishing at the moment.
Excellent - Many Thanks, Richard. I should have mentioned that cycle.travel is my favourite cycling app / website; it has really increased my enjoyment of going cycling and I am indebted to you for creating it!
