Firstly thanks for a wonderful website, which I've been using as my goto planner for some years now!
Today I have used the android app for the first time as a navigation app, while cycling in France, and successfully streaming the IGN maps. Presumably I do need to be on-line to use these maps while navigating?
My main query, is there a facility to zoom in and out of the map without pinching the screen, as this wasn't too successful with the phone housed in a waterproof case. A simple +&- button would make it easier. Maybe it's available, but I haven't managed to locate it. Also is there a scale bar facility, so that I can see what level of map zooming I have set.

The IGN maps need an online connection, yes.
The next version of the Android app (which will be ready once I’ve done a test ride or two on it) will have the option to use your phone’s volume buttons for zooming in and out, which should hopefully be easier to press through the case. No scale bar yet but it’s on the list!
Hi Richard, just a quickie following on from the above. In France streaming the IGN maps while navigating worked wonderfully - thank you. Back in the UK, is it possible to stream the OS maps while navigating. I tried yesterday, had mobile data turned on, but the OS maps petered out a short distance from home. Many thanks again for a wonderful route planning tool! Richard
