I've downloaded a map for use offline - but can find no way to recover it for use. Help!
Same question for me. Where are these maps located. And also how do i delete them?
You don’t need to “recover it” – it’s there for whenever you look at that area on the map. So if (for example) you download the area around Birmingham, next time you’re looking at the map of Birmingham, it’ll fetch it from the downloaded copy on your phone, not from the internet. That way you can view it without an internet connection.
If you want to remove an area at any point, just go to the same “Offline maps” screen and tap to turn the area back from green to blue. Click “Download” when you’re done and it’ll remove the area.
Thanks Richard that all makes sense. Fingers crossed for it working in deepest Spain next week.
