I'm finding the app a great resource for planning a route, and have planned a few now. Doing so is fairly easy, and the options are good.
I'm having a little trouble trying to get the voice over to work when I'm on the iOS App. I can start a route no problems, but when I close down my phone, so that I can concentrate on riding, I don't receive any voice over prompts for me to take a turn. I'm also playing music (Spotify) and recording my rides (Strava) so I'm not sure if they have any impact?

Really glad you like it! At present the c.t app doesn’t work in the background, so you won’t get instructions if there’s another app on-screen (like Spotify or Strava). It’s something that I’m hoping to add for a future version. For now, you can choose “Dim screen between turns” in the app settings if you want the screen to go dark between instructions.
