As the Maintainer of the German mapnik stlye I have a feature request :)
Would it be possible to add an option for selection of other styles? While german style does not have contour lines we do have quite a few rendering features which are handy for cyclists. One example would be tracktype dependant rendering of tracks.
So it would be nice if you could add http://tile.openstreetmap.de/ as an additional layer.

Good idea - I’ll add it to the todo list, thanks! cycle.travel does of course already render tracks differently dependent on type, but we boil it down into three types (solid, gravel/compacted, and rough) whereas it might be nice for some users to have the full gamut shown.
Does this mean that other layers are available? I'm looking for OpenCycleMaps -seems obvious but there's no Help or FAQ? The cyclepaths aren't clear on the default map.
This is the only site which calculates my test route correctly, apart from BRouter which seems to be experimental (but has the layers option clearly visible).
