Even if you use the 'direct to' mode it's not possible to follow gravel tracks marked on the cycle.travel layer. Could you add a 'draw lines' mode a la RWGPS, or will this be fixed with an 'unpaved' button soon? Thanks!

I should clarify, you can follow some but not others.
cycle.travel will only follow any tracks that are expressly marked (tagged) in OpenStreetMap as being open to bikes – just tagging them as a track isn’t enough, because that’s often used for private tracks in farms and the like. I think that’s probably the issue here. Correctly mapping this in OSM (add bicycle=yes, which you can do with a menu in the online OSM editor) will be reflected in c.t next time it takes an update.
