Hi,

I planned a journey called Pentalogy of Brianconnais, with several passes direct ascents, therefore easy to calculate in terms of elavation.

The total Ascent shows +3400m, whereas the simple rough addition of the passes elevation gives 4500m (1000+600+700+1000+1200m)!!!

How can there be such a big discrepancy ?

Also, when I import the route in my Garmin, it gives near +7200m !!! I have imported many tours to Garmin, and it reguarily give a x1.5 or x2  elevation multiplier.

Thanks

Alain
