When I use the c.t app as my main navigation tool, I've been very annoyed by the lag of the position marker while I'm moving. It's often as much as 10 seconds and this has led to me overshooting turns or intersections on numerous occasions. I have a decent phone (Samsung Galaxy A53) and there's no lag when I use Waze on it for navigation in my car.

Curious. Is it definitely the position lagging or could it just be that some instructions are announced too late? I’ve encountered the latter on occasion and not worked out why yet.
It's the position. On a number of occasions, I've looked at the marker on the map and not been able to reconcile it with reality as I looked around me then as I looked down at c.t again, the position had updated and reality was restored.
I *think* I've found the cause of this. I'd set my phone to "power save" mode and stupidly ignored the warning that this can affect the performance of some apps.
I'll have to look into other ways to extend my battery life.
