A very quiet route along the Canal Entre Champagne et Bourgogne.
However, we did not find anything to eat along the way, so we had to continue to Langres. In addition, Langres sits on a hill, making this the hardest journey so far.
It was worth the climb.
Plus, the campground has a nice view (for tenters).
Beautiful morning at the Doubs,
early coffee in Besancon
and a look at the castle.
Further along, the canal passes through a hill. (They forgot to build a tunnel for cyclists.)
And it has a shower, too.
Finally, Dole.
With quite a large church.
We follow the Rhine-to-Rhone canal, climbing steadily.
Stop in Montbeliard, home of Peugeot,
with a quiet center.
On to the campgound in L'Isle sur le Doubs.
