Lovely day ride. Mostly road with a little toe path and some gravel sections.  The gravel byway section across Salisbury Plain was closed on our  day due live firing but it is easy to divert around the edge of the artillery range.  Stonehenge and the Wylye Valley kept the miles interesting, as did the occasional glimpses of a mass hot air balloon launch floating across the horizon. Also saw Glastonbury Tor to the west from the top of one hill. Last section had some very sharp ups and downs which tested the stamina but all in, a worthwhile route with lots of variety.
